The 4 star Hotel Poseidon is situated in Positano on the well known Amalfi coast in southern
Italy.  This magical little village is often referred to as the "Jewel of the Mediterranean"
and has been the host to many personalities from all over the world, including writers, poets,
painters, musicians, and actors.  A combination of sea and mountains and forever changing
colors.  The Poseidon appears as a beautiful villa amongst luscious greenery in a pleasant
garden.  In the 50s, the Aonzo family transformed their private summer residence into a hotel
and still today, they attend to their guests with great personal style. The atmospshere in the
Poseidon is one of an elegant, grand 'villa'.  The efficiency and kindness of the highly
professional staff does not go unnoticed. The superb view of the coast, the village and the
sea, is seen from all the rooms.  As well as the outdoor restaurant, swimming pool, and the
vast sun bathing terrace, which, in the evenings is candlelit for the the cocktail hour.  In
the restaurant, the excellent southern Italian kitchen also includes pizza and barbecued
specialties and is often frequented by outside guests.  In the cooler months, meals are served
in the indoor dining room where the d¿cor and atmosphere are in total harmony with the rest
of the hotel.  The Poseidon Beauty Center and the well-equipped Gym, can be your holiday, a
combination of fitness and fun.  The Conference Room can accommodate up to 45/50 people and
the hotel offers all the necessary assistance required to make a perfect meeting.  Parking has
always been a problem in Positano, especially in the summer months, however the Poseidon has a
large indoor garage on the premises with parking attendants 24 hours a day.  The auto capacity
is 26, with another 6 available, externally.  Children under the age of 2 stay free in the
room with parents and in existing bedding.
