Imperiale Palace Hotel was built in 1889 by the aristocratic Costa family of Corsica. In 1905 a
new wing was added to establish the Villa as a hotel and in 1910 the building was further
extended to its present state.The Imperiale Palace - with its imposing cream facade - is
surrounded by a beautiful park and offers breathtaking views of the Tigullio Bay.The whole
hotel is in neo-classic and liberty style - with large and bright public areas which are
richly decorated with fine Liberty furniture and fittings - these include The Lobby and Caffe
Del Trattato - the panoramic Restaurant Novecento which can accommodate 50 people and the
open-air Terrace where guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner during the summer time.The
Terrazza Paraggi offers a magnificent view of Santa Margherita and its enchanting night lights
for musical evenings under the stars.In the old Villa - where the aristocracy once lived - the
glamour of the Belle Epoque is stunningly visible in the three magnificent Imperial Suites.
All the rooms are bright and elegant with antique furniture - and many enjoy wonderful sea
views.On the second floor - the Sala del Trattato - where Germans and Soviets once signed the
famous Treaty of Rapallo - is lavishly decorated in Pompeian Style.The Hotel has an
outstanding fully equipped Congress Centre for up to 200 people and 2 other small meeting
rooms with a capacity of 20-40 people.There is also a newly opened SPA-Fitness centre with
specialized staff.In front of the main entrance - a small stone bridge over the main road
takes you down through a large exotic garden to the salt water swimming pool - where you can
relax while having a massage. Guests can also enjoy the privilege of access to the extensive -
superbly located private beach with its Bar-Restaurant Le Vele which is open for lunch from
May till September.Our private beach and pool will close from 30 September 2006.
